Have you ever noticed that a charger / USB cable only charges its device really fast and not for anyone else? Now, you can prove it with the umpire.

Measure your battery’s charging and discharge current.

Not every device is supported because there are devices that lack the correct measurement chip (or interface) and cannot be supported. Do not read the list of support phones at the end of the description.

The app isn’t just meant to be accurate, it’s just better to evaluate which charger / USB cable combo is working for you on the same device.

Launch the application and wait for CA. After 10 seconds (“Measurement” display is on), the charging or discharge current will be displayed.

Much depends on the current situation:

  • Charger (USB / AC / Wireless)
  • USB cable
    Phone type
  • Current work in progress
    Show brightness
  • WiFi status
  • GPS status

Please do not use this request as a difficult science to read. However the readings are comparatively better considering how different chargers and USB cables are on the same device.

If the application always shows 0 mA, please use the settings option “old measurement method”. If you have at least one Lollipop device, you can tie it to the app to use the old measurement interface.

Unfortunately some Samsung devices do not give the correct (measured) value by charging current with the original USB cable / charger configuration (e.g. S5). This is a firmware issue.

Background information: The application measures battery current / discharge current. If your phone is not connected to the charger, you see a discharge current which is negative. If you connect a charger, the current charger will be used to supply your phone and the rest will be charged by the electronic battery.

If your phone uses 300 mA without a charger (-300 mA on display), a 500 mA charger will charge your battery with a maximum of 200 mA (200 mA on display). .

Technical information: The average value of the display is 50 measurements with 10 higher values and 10 lower values. The current displayed can be unstable or unstable or even zero which means the Android system provides unstable values. Each company uses a variety of batteries and other hardware that make it difficult to get accurate results about your charger.

Lipo’s battery doesn’t take long to charge the phone. If your battery is almost full, the charging current will decrease according to the lower level of the battery.
